Bird Log 24th June 2008
These bird photos were taken while I was photographing the surf at Flat Rock, just off Newcastle Baths. It was a sunny day with a light North west wind blowing.
Here are the list of birds that I saw:
- Australasian Gannet
- Common Tern
- Sooty Oystercatcher
- Crested Tern
Australasian Gannet

Camera settings were : 1/1250 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens. The camera was a Canon 40D.
The Australasian Gannet has a scientific name of Morus serrrator.
Common Tern

Camera settings were : 1/2000 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Common Tern has a scientific name of Sterna hirundo.
Sooty Oystercatcher

Camera settings were : 1/1250 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Sooty Oystercatcher has a scientific name of Haematopus fuliginosus.
Crested Tern

Camera settings were : 1/2500 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Crested Tern has a scientific name of Sterna bergii.
