Bird Log 23rd June 2008
The following photos were taken at the Glenrock Nature Reserve which is a piece of remnant bush that is very close
to the centre of Newcastle. It is a beautiful bit of bush and here are the bird species that I saw:
- Little Wattlebird
- Bell Miner
- Dusky Moorhen
Little Wattlebird

Camera settings were : 1/100 second, f/5.6, ISO800 with a 400 mm lens. The camera was a Canon 40D.
The Little Wattlebird has a scientific name of Anthochaera chrysoptera.
Bell Miner

Camera settings were : 1/320 second, f/5.6, ISO800 with a 400 mm lens.
The Bell Miner has a scientific name of Manorina melanophrys.
Dusky Moorhen

Camera settings were : 1/400 second, f/5.6, ISO400 with a 400 mm lens.
The Dusky Moorhen has a scientific name of Gallinula tenebrosa.
