Bird Log 6th June 2008
This day I went to Booragul on the shores of Lake Macquarie just near the Lake Macquarie Art Gallery. The birds that I saw are:
- Australian Pelican
- Silver Gull
- White-bellied Sea-eagle
- Darter
- Little Pied Cormorant
- Willy Wagtail
- Australian Magpie
Australian Pelican

Camera settings were : 1/1000 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens. The camera was a Canon 40D.
The Australian Pelican has a scientific name of Pelecanus conspicillatus.
Silver Gull

Camera settings were : 1/1250 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Silver Gull has a scientific name of Larus novaehollandiae and is commonly called a seagull.
White-bellied Sea-eagle

Camera settings were : 1/2000 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The White-bellied Sea-eagle has a scientific name of Haliaeetus leucogaster.
Darter

Camera settings were : 1/640 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Darter has a scientific name of Anhinga melanogaster.
Little Pied Cormorant

Camera settings were : 1/1000 second, f/5.6, ISO200 with a 400 mm lens.
The Little Pied Cormorant has a scientific name of Phalcrorax melanoleucos.
